Ashley
Ashley is owner & founder of GDA; as a qualified dog trainer & behaviour specialist, she is certified with a diploma in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare (her Ofqual regulated qualification meets the Animal Activity Licensing Higher Standard requirements).
She has a certification of attendance from the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers; she is qualified in Canine First Aid & has a level 7 diploma in dog grooming, she also achieved a higher distinction in level 4 canine psychology.
Ashley has owned dogs all of her life, and has always been passionate about them. If truth be told, she is more comfortable around dogs than humans, which contributed to the founding of our doggy daycare & boarding!
Heather
Heather is the manager of Good Dog Academy, she has always been a dog lover, but especially bigger breeds. She is the owner of a Lurcher "Dave" & a Merle blue Collie "Dougie". Heather has owned dogs all of her life, she has achieved a higher distinction in level 4 canine psychology and is certified in canine first aid.
Don't ask her to look after children, but when it comes to dogs... she is in her element! She pays particular attention to the behaviour & body language of each and every dog that comes to visit us. She studies their interactions and delivers enrichment activities suited to each individual doggo!
Heather is the winner of the Employee of the Year at the local pet awards 2024!
Joyce
Joyce is a boarding assistant for GDA; she has achieved a level 2 canine first aid.
She absolutely loves working with all types of dog breeds, she has 2 fur babies herself called Mabel (Lhollie) & Luna (Staffie). Joyce is a hit with our furry guests, she loves to talk to them like they are her children, and we often find her in among the gang cuddling and talking to them all!
Regan
Regan is the proud owner of Cooper the Lhollie, she is currently training in canine first aid, and would love to be a dog trainer one day. She loves entertaining our #gooddoggang with games, fun training and of course lots of cuddles, treats & attention.
She once had a fear of dogs, but has since faced her fear, and now thrives when working with them! Regan is eager to learn more about dogs, how they behave and how they learn.
